An different reality were george leaves lennie at the ranch

After George kills Lennie, Slim takes him under his wing and leads him to his sister-in-law's house. There, George meets Emmie, Slim's daughter, and Peggy, Slim's sister-in-law. Will George be able to move on from Lennie's death and accept his new life with Emmie, Slim, and Peggy?

Lennie and George go to work on a ranch, but lennie is a strong and clumsy person. so, they decide to get the money from their work and start their own farm on the ranch Lennie receives a puppy to pet as gift, because he liked it so much and really wanted something to pet.

It's too late. Slim's seen the bindings. "You're a girl," Slim will say, "stop pretending to be a man."

Maybe someday, it'll be brought back to GCSE classrooms once again...
