Jak Young is hired to help with a deforestation project and a woman stumbles across the scene. Both learn of the existence of the faeries who live among the trees. Together, they help save Ferngully from the toxic faerie, Hexxus.

After receiving a dagger from her grandfather and a exploring hat from her father, a young girl named Libby is transported to a rainforest where there are fairies. There she meets another human and she must help save the rainforest from the evil Hexxus. Can she save the rainforest in order to get home?

The two heroes of Ferngully have finally met but sadly after a tragic lost, both are sent back to the rain forest which is to be their new home but when it's threatened by an old enemy, will they be able to save the forest with their friends or will they fail?
