After Wade and Ember leave Element city for Ember's internship, they decide to take the next step and get married but it was after making their return to Element city that life throws a new challenge in their way: A baby. Not only that but natural disasters keep shaking the city too. How will the paradigm change for Ember and Wade when they begin to tackle family life?

Following the events of A Lumen Ripple, Ember and Wade find themselves settling into life in Elementopia. A recent spark has encouraged Wade to become a therapist, whilst Ember is to complete anger management therapy to keep her job at Aquatecture. Even with new goals, Elementopia and its people have more challenges to reveal. Ember and Wade on a journey of pride and unity!

Ember wrote this. Or she dreamed it. But it's uncertain as to when: perhaps in reflection some time after the disaster; perhaps it was going through her mind during the disaster; it could even have been a premonitory dream she might have had some days before the disaster.

Ember and Wade have been away from Element City but both returned to start a family. Their daughter Misty Steam stumbles upon a lightning element named Thunder Bolt and has a crush on him. But his strict family were trying to get their son away from Misty. Will Ember and Wade let Misty be or stay away from him? Rated K-plus for hurt/comfort. (COMPLETED!)

About a month after the flood, Wade and the Lumens share a cozy dinner in the family's private rooms above the shop. Through an evening of profound conversation, they find themselves more of a family than ever before.

Having seen 'Elemental' a handful of times, after the last viewing I found myself really hung up on the extreme sadness of Ember's scene at the overlook after the ceremony-that-wasn't. I couldn't stop thinking about it, and I got *very* sad for a day as a result. I've recovered, but as part of my own process I wrote this POV of hers for the scene. It helped, to see it on the page.

Ember's complex thoughts as Wade guides her to the vivisteria tree. The style is greatly indebted to Edger230's 'Elemental' POV pieces "I'm Still Here" and "The Strength of the Vivisteria" (which are fabulous). I'd never tried writing in that style before and thought that this episode would make a nice venue in which to try it.

Wade and Ember return to the city with a big surprise on the way, but will it come sooner than what they had thought?

An old flame of Ember's reenters her life and tries to sabotage her and Wade's relationship. Wade responds in a way that shocks everyone.

Wade has to go on a business trip for a few days and Ember finds herself processing the loneliness of being apart from him for so long for the first time in a while. However, Wade may still be able to help.

We all know what happens when fire and water fall in love: success! What about air and earth? "A bird may love a fish, signore, but where would they live?" the other residents of Element City as, with help from Ember and Wade, they navigate the ups and downs (literally) of life in interelement relationships.

Elemental AU: Ember doesn't run away when she and Wade touch. After Bernie catches Ember and Wade together, the fallout tears the Lumen family apart. Eighteen years later, when her parents have to go abroad for the summer, Vivisteria "Viva" Ripple goes to stay with her father's extended family in Element City with a secret mission: bring the Lumens back together.

Wade and Ember had been so happy the day they discovered that inside Ember their future child was blossoming like a beautiful Wisteria...until one night in the hospital like their heart they were breaking the news. Now...they only had to rest their aching hearts under the storm of a rainy day.

Ember's temper is starting to grow again after she and Wade had settled in months later in their new home. Wade has tried to ask why, but she won't talk. After another outburst, Ember is left alone to ponder why she's been feeling so short-fused. Idea suggested by SydCL on AO3.

Wade and Ember a couple of Wade's friends on a double date only to discover that they might have some unchecked biases about the Firish people and what it means to be an ally to their community. Will their microaggressions be the end of a years-long friendship?

Amidst all of the shared laughs and family bonding, Wade had noticed that something wasn't right. Ember's mood was...off. Her smiles were forced and she was strangely quiet during conversations. There was a certain glimmer absent from her eyes. Her gaze resembled that of someone looking at a stranger, or even a ghost. It was ittedly unsettling to see.

A few weeks after the flood hit Firetown, Wade and Ember have continued to see each other. Bernie reflects on what this means for her happiness as well as his own.

(Rated PG-13/T for Language) Break ups happen, but one question comes upon us when it does. Do they really mean it? Case in point, did Ember really mean to give Sam a break, or was that break up meant to be?

After being denied entry to the Vivisteria Flower exhibit, Bernie has to have a hard conversation with Ember about elementism.
