This is based on the novel by Daphne du Maurier. I thought it could be interesting to re-invent Maxim's revelations, only filling in the blanks this time. Reviews are most welcome. Characters and main plot belong to Daphne du Maurier

This is one shot is written as a summary of how I would have wished a sequel to the 'Rebecca' movie or book. It's written in Maxim's POV. I know I'm by far not as good as Mrs du Maurier herself or Susan Hill or anybody who had written a sequel and again, I am not a native speaker, but I still hope you like my little piece of work. Reviews are very welcome.

Even in exile from England, today is just like yesterday, and the day before that. Today is perfectly ordinary. Oneshot, bookverse, musing. More a character study than anything.

Yes, of course I love Maxim. Why would you think otherwise? Revolves mostly round the ending of the novel. The second Mrs De Winter reflects, and as usual, misses the point.
