This is an AU where Leo lives but April dies. However, she leaves him a last request in her book that he must choose whether or not to fulfill. It explores Leo's attempts to chase life once April is gone and how he handles his grief. Better than it sounds here, I promise.

This is my first fanfic but I thought it would be really interesting to see what April's diagnosis is like for Beth, as the ever-ive best friend. How does she stay so strong and set the standard so high for a best friend, and how will she respond when tragedy hits? Spoilers for season 2, episode 7 "As Long As We Both Shall Live". Written right after that episode aired. This little oneshot is Brenna's initial reaction to the news of Leo's death, including a Brenna/Greer texting conversation.

Brenna is overwhelmed with all of the stress around her. She feels like she is at fault for April getting cancer, and Greer getting in trouble. Brenna thinks she is a burden and a disappointment to her family, especially her Mother. To deal with these hard emotions, Brenna turns to self destructive acts. Can she overcome her demons with the help of her family and friends?

Possible outcomes of Leo finding out about the kiss in Bermuda.

Challenge: Brenna has cancer. How will her family deal with it? Is April still healthy? Are the Carvers ready to handle another tradgedy?

Leo had his surgery and has a long recovery ahead of him, just like April. But with baby steps at the time, they both hope to get better. Together.

April Carver transfers to the high school her boyfriend Dominic and her best friend Beth go to. During that time she has to tutor the schools bad boy Leo Hendrie who she dislikes on the first day. However during that time, she begins to build a friendship with him and see's a different side to him. She also learns a lesson or two about life and Love. This is a Lapril centric story!

Pretty new to this whole fanfiction thing but I thought I would write a story mostly from Brenna's POV but probably also incorporating other characters over time! Ratings may change over time. As you know, the spring finale aired on Monday. This is my version of how April tells Leo her cancer is back and how they spend the day before April starts chemo. This focuses on April's emotions as well as Leo's emotions. Enjoy
